Behind the lens

Rooted in Chisasibi, working across the territory.

Welcome to my professional website! I hail from the vibrant community of Chisasibi, Quebec, also known as "Big River" — capturing and documenting the essence of Eeyou Istchee, transforming fleeting moments into powerful narratives.

I am also proud to be part of Shinee (ROCK), an independent Indigenous film production company based in Eeyou Istchee, Quebec. Our mission is to tell compelling stories that capture the essence of life through the lens of our camera.

The journey

From Algonquin College to the film production sector.

My journey in the creative arts began in 2016, when I embarked on a transformative academic path. After five enriching years at Algonquin College, where I earned multiple certificates and diplomas, I completed my diploma in Broadcasting Television & Livestream in the spring of 2021.

Post-graduation, I immersed myself in the film production sector, where I have established myself as a dedicated Eeyou videographer, editor, cinematographer, director, photographer, and graphic designer. With a strong foundation in electronic field production, I've sharpened my skills through hands-on experience — navigating challenges and learning from every mistake along the way.

Mission

Preserving Eeyou culture through visual storytelling.

My aspirations are simple yet profound: to explore the landscapes and scenery of Eeyou Istchee, capturing and documenting the essence of this vibrant region — narrating moments and telling stories that reflect our culture and traditions.

A crucial goal of mine is to assist in the preservation of language and culture, ensuring the Eeyou way of life remains strong and vibrant for future generations.

  • Preserve language, memory, and place through clear visual storytelling.
  • Build galleries that feel organized and respectful of the event they represent.
  • Create work that balances community documentation with cinematic quality.
